This is the section that I'm supposed to let you all know what makes me tick! EVERYTHING! At the most basic level, I'm just a chill person who likes to have fun in almost everything I do. I LOVE music, dining, checkin' out a movie, goin' to the beach (don't know how to swim though ain't that something?), visiting amusement parks, and pretty much just about anything else there is to do to enjoy life. I can kick it with many different types of peeps and personalities. To me, it keeps the mind active, open and growing. I used to live in New York, which I love. Alas, I've had to move to Miami, which isn't my favorite city. It's so plastic here!

I'm a nerd. I am getting my PhD in Epidemiology - bonus if you know what that is. I have an awesome dog. I read a lot of long books. I bite my nails. I want to change the world. I'm slightly afraid of bikes. I love tattoos. Also, dessert.

Well I'm new to Florida, and figured this is a good way to hopefully meet some good people. I'm into the arts, and would describe myself as a passionate person. I have a special place in my soul for architecture and good design in general whether it be a work of art or an incredible meal. I have a ton of interests that include tennis, photography, cycling, running, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, skiing, and now going to the beach but you get the idea. I'm usually interested by nearly anything that captivates my brain and gets it running or gives it some serenity. I miss walking aimlessly through NYC and the company of stimulating conversation. To say I'm an introvert or an extrovert would be misleading as I think I'm both at different times. I wouldn't be uncomfortable if left alone at a party however I can often be found alone at times just working on whatever project I'm taking up at the time.

I'm trying this Internet dating thing because my brother actually found someone over the computer. They make a great match and have been together for 2 years and are going strong. Some time ago my first love died of a drug overdose shortly after we broke up so we never got to make things right. And since then no matter how many relationships I've had, I've never really found that real & meaningful relationship I've been longing for. So I thought I'd give this a try too and maybe get lucky just like my brother did and find the right girl for me. I'm just trying to find an Edith to my Archie, if you will.

So anyways a lil' about me...I just moved down to N. Miami from Brooklyn, NY in late July. I grew up in NYC and lived throughout it all of my life, but I wanted to move down here for some time now and be with family and closer to my Grandmother's funeral home so I can visit often. She was my everything and I wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for her! So now I'm looking for that special someone to be with. I'm far from perfect but my disposition always stays 100% real because I really hate deceit and people trying to take advantage of others. I just been through enough of that in my life to do it to others. It's corny but true, I treat people like I'd want to be treated. A huge turn-off for me is ignorance along with arrogance. Iâ??m more of a homebody, but I like to go out and do things; for example go to a restaurant or take a trip someplace like a theme park...or we can just take a walk on the boardwalk,(etc...). So basically to break me down, Iâ??m loyal (sometimes to a fault), intelligent (also sometimes to a fault, lol), independant, caring, and funny/silly. And the more you get to know me, the more you'll see that I still have a child-like innocence to me, no matter the things I've been through in life, and I think that's what makes me fun to be around and to do things with. I'm out going but laid back. I enjoy hanging out late and then getting coffee and breakfast at 5:00am. I love music and sports and eating good food with friends and not worrying about the time! I hate sleeping unless I finally went to sleep. I never wanted to sleep when I was little because I always thought I was going to miss something, I'm the same way now. Im Mattheus and I was born in Queens, NY. My parents are from Argentina. I left NY when I was 5 years old and I went to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I lived there for a couple of years. My parents decided to come back to the U.S but this time we came to Miami. Here I went to Miami Beach Senior High from freshmen year through senior year. I had a pretty good time in those four years. Life is beautiful and I always try to see the beauty of Life even in times of serious challenges and adversities! I am a patient person who try to take one day at a time. I love the outdoors especially the going to the beach to clear my thoughts and keep me in alignment with god's splendor. My favorite sports are long walks on the beach, tennis, swimming and bowling. I am business minded and self employed. I have three lovely young children and they are the precious commodities in my life! I am very focused and I attend church regularly.

I like to balance my life between work,children and time alone with myself and god. I have the pleasure and being self-motivated and treating people good. I try not to let the experience of one bad marital relationship keep me back in life, although it still hurts sometimes. All this has kept me humble and I find immense joy in simple things like flying a kite and driving out in the wilderness and having a picnic in the woods/beach or just enjoying a homemade banana splilt with some lovely music!

I was a sorority girl back at the Univ. of Tennessee, I met some of my best friends in it, and I loved every second there.

I can sing..but I am fearful of singing in front of others.

I do play sports, but I am only average at it..softball, football, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, you name it, I'm sure I've tried it.

I am going to be receiving my AA in Political Science in May, and then I'm moving off to Orlando to get my BA at UCF and also I will be in the Air Force ROTC. (I am actually pretty stoked about this decision!)

I am originally from Tennessee, and yes...at times I have a country accent..get me drunk or around my TN friends..and you can hear my southern twang.

I also was in band for 10 years, played the trumpet and kicked ass at it. I went to college with it for a year and kicked ass there too. But, don't prejudge me and stereotype me as a weird band geek, that I am not!

Well, I'm a transplant from Tennessee to Fort Lauderdale, FL. Its an adjustment that some people find difficult (some of you know what I mean) but I love it. I think it gives me a sexy citiness (sometimes I just make up words and ramble) with downhome values. But that's me.. a mix of different things. I like movies and dancing, going out and staying home. Sometimes I want to be part of the crowd but often I want to CAUSE the crowd. I like to enjoy myself but its always more fun to share and that's where you come in.
